Gunze Gundam Marker Eye Green - a marker pen with opaque green

This is a coloring marker pen with a pigment paint on an alcohol base, not a bottled paint and not a weathering product either. The paint is sealed right in the body of the marker pen, it is applied with the tip, it is not thinned and it does not go into an airbrush. The shade Eye Green is a saturated green which the Japanese manufacturer Gunze put into the Gundam Marker line precisely for painting the eyes, the sensors and the small signal surfaces of robot kits. Because its chemistry differs from that of the lacquer and acrylic lines of the same manufacturer, do not mix it and do not thin it with thinners intended for bottled paints.

Use

• Before first use shake the marker pen and press the tip down carefully several times on a test piece of plastic until the paint starts to flow.
• Apply in thin coats and let each one dry; one heavy coat smears easily and the marks of the tip stay visible.
• The green shows best on a light or silver base; on dark plastic it darkens and loses its saturation.
• Wipe paint that has run over off with a cotton swab moistened in alcohol before it dries, but bear in mind that the surrounding coats can suffer.
• Try clear-coating over it on a hidden place first: solvent-based clear coats can make an alcohol-based paint bleed.
