TM07 flat pliers 130 mm are Japanese pliers with straight jaws for holding, bending and straightening small parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
Japanese-made pliers with an overall length of 130 millimeters and flat straight jaws. They are not nippers and have no cutting edge: they serve for holding, turning, bending and straightening small parts. The flat bearing face is their main merit, because it does not press the gripped material into a single point but spreads the pressure across the whole width of the jaw.
The most common job is bending photo-etched parts over an edge, straightening twisted wire and profiles, gripping a part while drilling and holding small components while gluing. The flat jaw also comes into its own when building tracks from individual links, where a joint has to be pressed together without leaving a mark. Many modelers also use them to pull a part out of dried glue or out of a deep hole.
Grip a photo-etched part through a piece of paper or a wooden shim so that the edge of the jaw does not print into the visible surface. Bend wire in small steps and keep checking the shape, because straightening a bend back always leaves its trace. Do not use the pliers to lever out stuck parts. Wipe them dry after work with chemicals.
Flat pliers belong in a basic set of tools alongside nippers and tweezers, because no other tool manages a lot of the work with small parts.
