An extending boxed set of Game Color acrylics for advanced procedures. Water-thinnable paints, primarily for a brush.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set belongs among the larger boxed packages of the Game Color line and it is assembled so as to fill in the tones that are hard to mix from the basic offering. It is one of the larger boxed sets of the line, alongside the starter and the extended box. In painting terms it is the same acrylic as in the individual bottles; only the scope of the palette differs.
A wide offering tempts you to reach for a ready tone every time. It is more useful to choose a triplet for each material, that is a base, a shadow and a highlight, and to work the intermediate steps out by mixing. A transition mixed from two neighboring tones holds together better than a jump between two ready shades, because it shares the same colorant.
The paints of this line are too thick to go straight into an airbrush. For a brush take them as they are, or with a drop of water. For an airbrush, thin them first to the consistency of thin cream, count on weaker covering power and on needing more coats. Rinse the nozzle out after every change of shade, as acrylic dries in it within moments.
Before painting, go over the parts with a base coat, whether it is injection-molded plastic, resin or printed material. Without it the surface is rubbed off at every further step. Seal a finished model with varnish: a matte one evens the surface out, a satin one suits leather and wood, and keep a gloss one for lenses, glazing and wet areas.
