The gloss transparent varnish from Titans Hobby serves as a covering coat before decals are applied and as a final protection for a paint job.
Responsibility details are not available.
A transparent varnish with a gloss finish. It has a fixed place in the modeling sequence: it is applied to a finished paint job before the decals. On a gloss surface a decal beds down without air bubbles and no matte shadow, known as silvering, appears around its edge. At the same time the varnish protects the paint from damage during further work.
It is applied with an airbrush in thin coats over a perfectly dry paint job. Once the varnish is dry, the decals and, if you wish, the panel lines are applied, because the gloss surface lets you wipe the excess paint away without damaging the finish underneath. At the end the model is oversprayed with a matte or semi-matte varnish, according to the look you want.
Apply the varnish in light passes, not in one heavy coat, otherwise it runs and forms droplets on the edges. Always wait until the paint under the varnish has dried through completely, because varnish over paint that has not dried can cause wrinkling. With delicate finishes, test the compatibility with the particular type of paint in a hidden spot or on a test piece. This goes especially for enamel and oil finishes, which take longer to dry than they appear to on the surface.
Shake thoroughly before use. Work in a ventilated room and keep out of the reach of children.
