Gunze Gundam Marker Green Fluorescent - a vivid green marker pen

A marker pen with a pigment paint on an alcohol base in a fluorescent green shade. This is an accent color, not an ordinary opaque finish: fluorescent pigments have lower covering power and show fully only over a light base. In modeling a vivid green is popular above all for imitating glowing elements - sensors, displays, indicators and energy effects that are meant to look as if they radiated light. The manufacturer is the Japanese firm Gunze.

Use

• Apply a white or silver base first; a silver base gives the green additional depth and sheen.
• Apply the paint in small areas, and on clear parts try applying it from the inside: the light then passes through the paint and the effect is stronger.
• Let each coat dry; the tip pulls fresh paint away and the area stays patchy.
• A gloss clear coat supports the brightness; a matte clear coat damps the fluorescent effect down markedly.
• Wipe surplus paint off with a cotton swab and alcohol at once, while it has not dried.

For builders of robot and science fiction models who want to bring out glowing elements without an airbrush. It serves well too on figures, dioramas and models with indicators or warning elements, where a single bright accent on a small area is enough.

It contains a flammable organic solvent. Use in a well-ventilated room, protect it from flame and keep out of the reach of children.
