The Green Game Color Set is a selection of paints from the Game Color line focused on green. Green turns up on tabletop gaming figures more often than any other color: cloaks and hoods, lizard and dragon skin, green shields and robes, poisonous potions, and moss and undergrowth on a base. The shades in the set come from a single line, so they share the same binder and can be mixed with one another without the resulting tone going wrong.
The exact number of bottles, the volume and the named list of shades are stated on the box. Makers change the composition of their sets from time to time, so compare the contents with what you already have in your palette, to avoid doubling up on shades needlessly.
Green needs depth, or it looks like a shape cut out of paper. The proven method has three steps: lay the mid tone over the whole area, darken the recesses and folds with thinned paint that runs into them, and finally pull the edges and raised parts up with a lighter shade. Shake the bottle before use and apply thin coats, letting each one dry. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, ideally a thinner intended for this line.
It suits painters of tabletop gaming figures and fantasy subjects, and beginners who want shades that follow on from one another instead of bottles picked at random.
Figures, brushes and thinner are not included in the set, unless stated otherwise.
