A spare scriber blade 0.10 mm wide from the manufacturer Gunze / Mr.Hobby (GSI Creos) for the panel line scriber Mr. Line Chisel GT-65. It is a blade on its own - to be able to use it you have to have the GT-65 scriber (the handle) that the blade clamps into. Anyone who buys only the blade without the scriber has nothing to put it in.
Panel and parting lines on a model tend to be molded in only shallowly from the factory and are lost under a clear coat; after sanding seams or filling they disappear altogether. With a scriber the lines are deepened again so that they stay legible once the coat is on and can be brought out with a wash. Engraving is done by pulling - the edge lightly scrapes along the surface in several repeated strokes guided along a template or applied tape, never in one deep cut. The burr that forms is then smoothed away with a sanding sponge.
For modelers who restore fine panels on small models and want the thinnest possible line. Always choose the width according to the scale - a coarse blade makes a trench on a small model, and a fine one disappears on a large one. That is why modelers tend to keep several widths; the GT-65 range covers roughly 0.10 to 1.20 mm and a needle variant completes it. Everything clamps into the same GT-65 scriber.
The blade is very sharp - handle it carefully, draw the strokes away from yourself and keep out of the reach of children.
