Gunze GT65G - a spare 0.70 mm scriber blade for the Mr. Line Chisel GT-65. The coarsest edge in the range, for deep, prominent lines on large models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A spare scriber blade 0.70 mm wide from the manufacturer Gunze / Mr.Hobby (GSI Creos) for the panel line scriber Mr. Line Chisel GT-65. It is a blade on its own - to be able to use it you have to have the GT-65 scriber (the handle) that it clamps into. The blade alone, without the scriber, does not work.
Parting and panel lines on a model are only shallow from the factory and vanish under a clear coat; after sanding seams down they are lost altogether. A scriber deepens them so that they stay legible and can be brought out with a wash. Engraving is done by pulling - the edge scrapes along the surface repeatedly, in light strokes guided by a template or tape, never in one deep cut at once. The burr is then smoothed away with a sanding sponge.
For modelers of large models and dioramas who need really prominent, deep lines. Always choose the width according to the scale - a coarse blade creates a trench on a small model, and a fine one disappears on a large one. That is why modelers tend to keep several widths; the GT-65 range covers roughly 0.10 to 1.20 mm and a needle variant completes it. Everything clamps into the same GT-65 scriber.
The blade is very sharp - handle it carefully, draw the strokes away from yourself and keep out of the reach of children.
