HDQ02 is a gloss orange from the themed Aqueous Hobby Color Dragon Quest range. The base is a water-thinnable acrylic paint by Mr.Hobby, so the same formula as the standard Aqueous range. The shade is mixed to match one of the little monsters of the Dragon Quest game series and carries it in the name as She-Slime, so you do not have to put the orange together by mixing.
A gloss surface is welcome everywhere a part is meant to look smooth and new: on figures, toy-like vehicles, helmets, light covers or small accessories. It is also the best base for decals, because no dulled edge forms underneath them. The orange can serve as a strong accent on an otherwise soberly painted model. It also takes mixing with other shades of the range when you want to push the tone toward red.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use, the pigment settles in the bottle. A saturated orange covers less well than dark shades, so lay it down in two or three thin coats and let each one dry. Over a white or light gray base it comes out noticeably brighter than over bare dark plastic. Wash and degrease the plastic, otherwise the paint will not hold well on a smooth surface. It thins with water or with the thinner meant for the Aqueous range. Wash the tools right after the work; once the paint has dried only thinner will clean them.
The package holds a single bottle of paint. The thinner, the brushes, the airbrushes and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
