HTN01 Gunbuster Violet Gray Gloss is a modeling paint from the HTN range carried by Gunze Mr.Color. It is a gloss violet gray shade, that is a cool gray with a shift toward violet. On large smooth surfaces the shade comes across calmly and does not shout, yet it differs enough from an ordinary neutral gray to suit even where you need to set two neighboring parts apart.
Stir the paint thoroughly before work, otherwise settled pigment will stay at the bottom of the bottle and the shade will be richer only at the end. The thinner and the thinning ratio follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, so reach for the thinner meant for this range; a foreign thinner may curdle the coat. With an airbrush apply several thin layers rather than one thick one and let the surface become tacky between them. A brush works better on smaller surfaces, because the paint dries quickly and the strokes are then harder to even out.
It will be appreciated by builders of robots and technical subjects as well as by aircraft modelers looking for an unobtrusive shade with a character of its own. The package contains the paint alone; thinner, clear coat and further shades are not included, unless stated otherwise.
