A red sold under the name Destiny Red, in a semi-gloss finish. Semi-gloss is the middle degree of sheen: the surface gives light back, but its surroundings are not mirrored in it. For a saturated red that is a grateful compromise, because a full gloss mercilessly admits every irregularity underneath, while a flat finish mutes the color optically and the shade then tends toward brick.
Red pigments cover worst of all the shades, together with the yellows. Over a gray or dark surface you would have to lay the paint down in so many coats that the fine surface detail would be lost beneath them. So put down a white primer first; a light pink or orange intermediate coat is another proven course, over which the red comes out saturated after only a few passes.
Stir the contents thoroughly before use and during the work, the pigment settles at the bottom. Wash and degrease the model, paint does not hold on a greasy surface. Lay it down in several thin coats and let them become tacky between one another. Choose the thinner and the agent for cleaning the tools from the same range and flush the airbrush right after the work is finished, as a dried red is hard to get out of the nozzle. Let the paint cure thoroughly before masking, otherwise the tape will pull the coat off with it.
The package holds the paint. The thinner, the primer, the airbrush and the brushes are not part of it, unless stated otherwise. Work in a ventilated room and store the bottle carefully closed and out of the reach of children.
