In modeling a cleaner is used to remove paint residue from tools: for flushing an airbrush between shades and after work is finished, for washing brushes out and for wiping palettes and containers. It is a product offered within the IONIC range. The exact extent of use and the safety instructions are on the packaging, because they differ between individual cleaners.
Flush the airbrush right after you finish painting, while the paint is still wet, and at least briefly between shades, so that no dried residue stays in the cup. For a thorough clean, the cup and the nozzle are taken apart according to the airbrush instructions and the individual parts are wiped. Wash brushes immediately after use, with a stroke from the ferrule toward the tip, so that the paint does not dry at the base of the hair. After cleaning, let the tools dry and shape the tip of the brush.
A cleaner is not a thinner. Adjusting the consistency of paint is done with the thinner the manufacturer specifies for the range in question; a cleaner has a different purpose and may attack the paint. Do not leave brushes standing in the cleaner for long periods, as you will damage both the ferrule and the hair. Work in a ventilated room, keep the container well closed and follow the instructions on the packaging.
