Landscapes of War Vol. 3 — a modeling publication

The third volume of the Landscapes of War series from the Vallejo range. It is a book, not a kit. The whole series turns around the landscape of a diorama — terrain, surfaces and the setting into which a modeler places a finished vehicle, aircraft or figure. The individual parts come out one after another and are sold separately, so you can get this volume even without the earlier ones.

Who it is for

For modelers who want to move their work from a model on its own to a scene. Terrain is a discipline in itself: it is about the choice of material, about its strength under handling, about the to-scale believability of surfaces and about keeping the coloring of the base from overpowering the model itself. The publication serves as a reference source you come back to as you go along with every new scene. Unlike a kit it does not wear out and its content does not go out of date: procedures for working with terrain hold good for a vehicle, an aircraft and a figure alike, and just as well for a small scale as for a large one. Anyone who builds scenes regularly will also appreciate having a comparison of different solutions in one place instead of looking for them again every time.
