A pearl white decorative liner from the Lascivus figure line. The fine tip manages a highlight in an eye, a line on a fingernail or a small ornament on a costume.

The pearl white shade from the Lascivus liner line is built for small decorative drawing on figures. Out of it comes a point of light in an eye, a thin line on the edge of a fingernail, a breathed sheen on a lip or an ornament on the hem of a costume. The pigment has a pearl component, so the mark does not read as a flat white area but changes its saturation with the angle of the light falling on it and glitters slightly.
Before first use the pen is shaken thoroughly, so that the bright particles are mixed through the whole volume of the filling; they settle faster than ordinary pigment. The tip is then charged by pressing it repeatedly onto an offcut of plastic, until the color flows evenly. It is written exclusively onto a perfectly cured base – into fresh varnish the tip would sink and smear the mark. A thin line drawn in two passes holds better than one heavy stroke; a few minutes' pause between passes is enough.
It does the most work on a dark surface, where the pearl has contrast and behaves like a reflection of light. On a light flesh color the effect is finer and serves more as a touch than as drawing. It goes well with the pink pens of the same line, which cover the warm shades for cheeks and lips. It is sensible to clear-coat the finished decoration with a matte or semi-gloss varnish, because fine lines wear off when a figure is picked up. An unsuccessful stroke can be lifted with a cotton swab moistened with thinner, as long as the color has not set.
