Vallejo Liquid Mask 32 ml

Liquid Mask from the Spanish manufacturer Vallejo is a liquid masking fluid in a bottle of 32 ml. It is neither a paint nor a glue: it serves to cover areas temporarily that are to stay free of paint during spraying. The fluid is applied with a brush, once dry it forms a continuous flexible film, and after the paint has been sprayed and has dried you simply peel or rub that film off. It is ideal where masking tape would be hard to shape: around cockpit glazing, on the irregular borders of camouflage patches, on wheels, on exhausts or on areas where you want to keep bare plastic or metal.

Use

• Shake the bottle lightly before use and try the application first in a hidden place or on an offcut.
• Apply it with a brush in a thin, continuous coat; on intricate areas two thin coats are better than one heavy one.
• Let it dry thoroughly into a firm, non-tacky film, and only then spray.
• Once the paint is dry, lift the film carefully with the tip of a toothpick or a scalpel and peel it away; the remains can be rubbed off with a finger.
• Do not leave the mask on the model for an unnecessarily long time, because the longer it stays on the surface, the harder it is to remove.
• Wash the brush with water right after use, otherwise the fluid dries in it. Use an ordinary brush rather than your best one.

Who it is for

For modelers who spray with an airbrush and need to mask irregular shapes precisely: plastic models of aircraft and vehicles as well as figures. It also suits the creation of soft camouflage transitions and the protection of glazing and glossy surfaces during clear coating.

Keep out of the reach of children. Use it in a well ventilated room and avoid contact with the eyes. Close the bottle carefully after use so that the contents do not dry out.
