Vallejo Luftwaffe Cam. Green FS34095 / RAL6020 / RLM82 - acrylic paint, 17 ml

This product is a modeling paint, not a kit. The shade belongs to the Vallejo Model Color range - flat, water-thinnable acrylic paints in a 17 ml bottle with a dropper. Model Color is thicker and heavily pigmented, because it is developed for brush application; for an airbrush you have to thin it with water or Vallejo thinner. The Model Air range, by contrast, is thinner and sprays straight from the bottle - so do not count on that with this paint.

The RLM 82 shade

RLM is the system of shades of the German Reich Air Ministry (Reichsluftfahrtministerium). RLM 82 is a lighter green belonging to the late German camouflage schemes: the introduction of the new RLM 81 and RLM 82 shades was announced in 1943 as a replacement for the previous dark pair RLM 70 / RLM 71, and in practice we meet them on the upper surfaces of fighters in the closing stages of the war, in 1944 and 1945. For this shade the manufacturer also declares in the name its correspondence to the FS 34095 and RAL 6020 standards.

Use

• With a brush straight from the bottle; for an airbrush thin it with water or Vallejo thinner.
• Shake thoroughly before use: the pigment settles at the bottom.
• Ideal for the soft transitions of the late camouflage: lay on thin coats and build the coverage up gradually.
• A flat surface - before decals, spray a gloss varnish over it and knock it back to flat at the end.
• The dropper makes precise measuring easier when mixing and lightening the shade.

Who the paint is for

For modelers of German aircraft of the closing stages of the Second World War who need a green that matches the era for the upper surfaces. It will also come into its own wherever a medium-saturated, slightly yellowish military green fits.
