Humbrol Maskol — masking fluid (28 ml)

Maskol from Humbrol is a liquid mask (masking fluid) in a 28 ml package. It is brushed onto places that are to stay free of paint while spraying or painting, and once dry it forms an elastic rubber film. That film simply peels off after painting and reveals the original surface. It suits areas that masking tape shapes to badly: curves, seams and glazing. It is a modeling accessory, not a kit: the package contains no model parts.

Use

• Masking glazing (canopies, windows) and small or curved areas
• Filling in places that masking tape conforms to with difficulty
• Suggesting flaked paint and wear (chipping) when applied in a thin layer
• Applied with a brush; once dry (approximately 15–20 minutes) it can be painted over
• Once the paint has dried, the film is carefully peeled off and the brush is cleaned with water

Who it is for

Maskol will be appreciated by modelers who need to mask areas of irregular shape precisely and cleanly, where ordinary tape is not enough. It suits aircraft and vehicle models and anywhere glazing has to be protected or sharp transitions between colors created. Use it in a well-ventilated area and do not leave the masking film dried on the model needlessly long, as an old mask that has dried for a long time peels off less well. Keep out of the reach of children.

Safety: work in a well-ventilated room and keep away from children. Close the bottle well after use. Remove the masking film within a reasonable time so that it holds together and peels off cleanly.
