A primer from the Mecha range in the sand shade Sand, a bottle of 17 ml. It prepares the surface under covering shades and evens the surface of a model out.
Responsibility details are not available.
A primer is applied to an assembled and cleaned model as the first layer. It evens out a surface on which several materials often meet at once, it improves the adhesion of the covering shade and above all it shows the places that still have to be finished: unsmoothed joints, scratches from sanding or remains of filler are visible at first glance on a single-colored surface, whereas on a multicolored model they easily escape notice.
The shade under the designation Sand is a sand color, that is light and warm. A light primer layer suits light covering shades, which over a dark surface would lose their richness and would have to be applied in more layers. The bottle has a volume of 17 ml.
Wash and degrease the model before applying it, otherwise the layer will peel off the smooth surface. Apply the primer in thin layers; one heavy layer fills the fine relief and the engraving. For the thinner and the thinning ratio go by the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and use the thinner intended for this range. The same applies with an airbrush and with a brush: rather several weak layers than one thick one. Before the next step, let the layer cure properly, not merely dry to the touch.
For builders who prepare a model honestly before painting and want to be sure that the covering shade holds and that the surface beneath shows through nowhere. The package contains this bottle only; the model, covering paints, thinner and varnish are not included, unless stated otherwise.
