Meng Kids is an entertaining kit in the cute egg style, that is a deliberately shortened, bulbous cartoon of a modern Chinese main battle tank. The parts are molded in colored plastic and mostly join dry (snap-fit), so you can build the model without glue. The markings come from the enclosed stickers and the model does not have to be painted. It is not a scale kit; the proportions are deliberately comic and meant for fun.
The real subject is a modern Chinese main battle tank (the Type 99 family), rendered here as a cute cartoon with a large turret and a short chassis. The egg treatment keeps the recognizable features of the real subject but in a light-hearted, playful form. The actual Type 99 is the main battle tank of the Chinese army, with armor, reactive armor and a stabilized gun; the model turns it into a cute shorthand.
The parts only need to be popped out of the sprue and clicked together; for a firmer joint you can use a little cement for plastic. The model is finished even without paints, thanks to the colored plastic and the stickers. Anyone who wants to can repaint it with an airbrush or a brush and create a camouflage of their own.
