A sixteen-piece set of acrylic paints of the Model Color line in the Basic version. It holds black, white, the basic color tones, earth shades and two metallic paints.

The make-up of this set comes from a simple thought: rather than buying thirty ready shades, it is more useful at the start to have a few clean colors that can be mixed. That is why you will find in it black and white for controlling lightness, a deep red, carmine, yellow, orange and two blue tones as starting points, and with them a group of earthy browns and olives, that is exactly the shades on which military subjects and figures stand. Gold and silver are added, which take care of fittings, buckles and worn edges.
The paints are meant above all for a brush and once dry they leave a matte surface. Take them up drop by drop onto a palette, not straight from the bottle, and thin them with water or the matching thinner carefully, because a coat with too much water in it loses its covering power. Shake the bottle properly before use, because the pigment settles to the bottom in it. When mixing a shade of your own, note the ratio of drops down, or you will not repeat it a second time and it will be hard to match an area sprayed later.
