Model Color - RAF WWII Aircraft

A set of eight acrylic paints from the German brand Revell, tuned to the camouflage and interior shades of Royal Air Force aircraft of the Second World War. The paints are chosen so that one box covers the upper camouflage surfaces, the underside of the fuselage and wings and the additional tones, so a builder does not have to look for the shades one at a time. The manufacturer states them as ready for applying with a brush and for filling into an airbrush.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use; pigment settled at the bottom will otherwise distort the shade.
• Apply two thinner coats instead of one heavy one; it covers more evenly.
• Shape the division between camouflage fields with a freehand airbrush or a soft mask.
• Varnish the surface under the decals with a gloss varnish; on a matte surface decals silver.
• Clean brushes and the airbrush straight after work; dried acrylic is considerably harder to remove.

Who the set is for

It suits builders of British aircraft of the Second World War period who want their color palette in one place, and equally anyone just starting out who does not want to deal with assembling shades from different ranges. It is usable for models in the common aircraft scales whatever the maker of the kit. British machines of that period moreover carried camouflage made up of a few settled tones that repeated across types, so the palette from the set serves on a fighter as well as a bomber.

Keep the paints out of the reach of children, ventilate while working and close the bottles well after use.
