Building a plastic model stands or falls with the tools. The parts have to be separated from the sprue, cleaned of gate remains and parting seams, test fitted dry, held while gluing and pressed into place. A tool set for building gathers the basic aids in one place, so you do not have to put your equipment together piece by piece. For a beginning modeler it is a sensible start, and a more experienced one will appreciate it as backup equipment or as tools for travel.
Use each tool for what it is meant for, and it will last longest. Separate a part from the sprue a little away from the part and clean the rest of the gate off afterwards, which saves you a torn patch on the surface. Work on a mat and in good light, because small parts fly off and you will not find them in the carpet. Let glued parts set before you move them again.
Wipe the tools after work and leave them dry. Store edges and points so that they do not rub against one another, because a battered edge spoils the work. Keep the set together in its original packaging, so that you notice more easily which piece is missing. Store sharp tools out of the reach of children.
For the modeler who is only putting a workshop together, and for anyone who wants the basic tools in one place. The exact make-up of the set, that is, the number of pieces and the individual tools, is given in the manufacturer's information, and from it you will see what you will want to add to the set. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
