This is a resin detail part, not a model in its own right. This small but telling accessory brings finely cast windshield wipers for the plastic kit of the Mi-24D/P, or Mi-35M, attack helicopter from Trumpeter in 1:48 scale. Quickboost is a line of simple but striking details that are more accurate and finer than the parts from the box — molded plastic wipers tend to be coarse or are missing from a kit altogether. The base kit has to be owned — this set only refines it.
The Mi-24 is a Soviet and later Russian attack helicopter, nicknamed the flying tank for its armored toughness and its ability to carry troops. The Mi-24D and Mi-24P versions differ in armament and detail, while the Mi-35M is a modernized export variant with fixed landing gear and new avionics. The windshield wipers are among the small but noticeable elements that complete the impression of the pilot's compartment.
Carefully separate the fine parts from the casting block with a sharp modeling knife — because of their fragility, work slowly and over a mat. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate); plastic cement does not hold on resin. The wipers are best painted separately before gluing and fitted only once the cockpit is finished and glazed, so that they are not damaged during handling.
