NGA-10 Acrysion Gundam Assemble Color (Base Color) - Light Gray Matt

The color

Light Gray Matt is a light neutral gray in a flat finish from the group of base shades of the Acrysion Gundam Assemble Color range. A light gray is among the most used modeling tones there is: it carries large areas, it does not compete with the strong colors next to it and, above all, shape can be read on it. On a gray area every transition, edge and shadow shows at once, which is true of neither a white nor a dark color.

Where it is useful

On the areas of robot kits and anywhere a light neutral tone without a cast toward blue or yellow is wanted. It also serves well as a check coat before the final painting: on a uniform light gray the grooves left by sanding and the seams show up, which they do not on bare plastic made up of several colors.

Application tips

• Stir the paint before use, the pigment settles at the bottom of the container when left alone.
• It is thinned with the thinner meant for the Acrysion range; residues that have not dried can be washed off the tools with water.
• Lay it down in several thin coats, as a single heavy one floods the fine engraving and the edges of the parts.
• A flat surface holds shading and drybrushing well, and gloss can be added with a clear coat at the very end.
• Wash and degrease the plastic before painting, otherwise the coat will flake off over fingerprints.

Who it is for

For builders of robot kits and for modelers who need a dependable light gray for areas or as a check coat. The thinner, the primer and the clear coat are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
