A soft modeling lead strip of flat (rectangular) cross-section measuring 0.2 x 1 mm, that is thin and narrow. Unlike round wires it has flat faces, so it suits anywhere a detail is meant to look like sheet metal or a strap rather than a cable. Lead is easy to shape and holds the shape it is set in.
Cut the strip, shape it and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Thanks to its flat side it lies against the surface well. The surface takes paint and primer.
