Lead wire 0.2 mm in diameter is a modeling material intended for creating the details that cannot be produced in plastic molds. The package contains 30 pieces of wire. Lead is markedly softer than copper or steel, so the wire bends with your fingers or with tweezers, holds the shape it is given and does not spring back. That is exactly what matters in modeling: a hose bent into a curve stays where you put it, and you do not have to tension it or glue it down every centimeter. It is neither a kit nor a finished part but a raw material from which you make the details yourself.
Cut the wire with sharp side cutters or a modeling knife so that the end is not flattened. The ends seat well in predrilled holes and are fixed with cyanoacrylate. The 0.2 mm diameter is the finest of the whole range: it suits scales where a heavier wire would look coarse, and it takes paint well (primer and acrylic hold on it without trouble). For heavier lines it can be combined with thicker diameters.
Safety: the product contains lead, which is toxic. Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling it, do not put the wire in your mouth and do not sand it or inhale the dust. Keep out of the reach of children. It is not a toy.
