Tamiya Paint Retarder – a drying retarder (40 ml)

Tamiya Paint Retarder is a drying retarder intended for Tamiya acrylic modeling paints. It is added in a small amount straight into the paint and extends the time for which the paint stays workable. It comes in a bottle with a volume of 40 ml.

Use

• Add only a small amount to Tamiya acrylic paint (commonly at a ratio of the order of up to 1:10) and stir well.
• A longer open time makes it easier to lay the paint out evenly with a brush and limits a grainy surface.
• With an airbrush it slows the drying of paint on the nozzle, which reduces clogging and interruptions of the coat.
• It also suits achieving smooth gloss surfaces, where quick drying is a problem.
• Do not add too large an amount – an excessive dose can markedly extend or spoil the drying of the paint.
