The 50x37 cm paint work and storage station from Vallejo

Painting a model slows down most when the bottles roll around the bench and the brushes roll onto the floor. This station deals with both at once: it has stepped shelves for bottles, holes for brushes and, in front of them, a flat working surface you can actually work on. The whole thing measures 50x37 centimeters, so it fits on an ordinary desk and still holds a decent part of a collection of shades.

What is in the box

According to the manufacturer the station takes 45 bottles of 18 milliliters, four bottles of 35 or 60 milliliters, two bottles of 200 milliliters and ten brushes. It is supplied unassembled, but putting it together is simple and, according to the manufacturer, needs no glue. Paints, brushes and other equipment are not included.

Use and tips

Assemble the parts on a flat surface and put the whole thing together dry first, so that you know how the pieces fit. Stand the station so that the light falls on the working surface from the front and the shelves do not shade it. Arrange the bottles by shade rather than by number, because when painting you look for a color with your eyes. Protect the working surface with a cutting mat or paper so that drips and cuts do not mark it.
