Gunze Gundam Marker Pink Fluorescent - a vivid pink marker pen

A coloring marker pen with a pigment paint on an alcohol base in a fluorescent pink shade. Fluorescent paints behave differently from ordinary opaque shades: their pigment glows only when it has a light base under it, and on dark plastic it looks dull and dirty. At the same time they do not suit large areas: they have less covering power and are intended as an accent, not as a base coat. The manufacturer is the Japanese firm Gunze and the marker pen belongs to the Gundam Marker line.

Use

• Apply a white or very light base under the fluorescent pink; only on that does the shade really light up.
• Apply thin coats with drying between them and do not go over fresh paint, as the tip pulls it away.
• Use it on small areas, markings and light accents, not as the main color of a part.
• A gloss clear coat supports the glow, a matte one damps it down; decide according to the result you want.
• Fluorescent pigments gradually fade in direct sunlight, so keep the finished model away from a sunlit window.
