Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-21PF fighter in the small 1:144 scale from Academy. The model is finished in North Vietnamese Air Force (VPAF) markings. Thanks to the small scale, it is a quick build suitable for a collection or a display case. Check the exact contents of the package and the number of marking options against the manufacturer's part number.
The MiG-21 was one of the most widely produced supersonic fighters of the Cold War, distinguished by its delta wing and single jet engine. The PF version was an all-weather interceptor fitted with radar in the air intake cone. The North Vietnamese Air Force flew the light, agile MiG-21 against American air power over North Vietnam, where it exploited its high speed and climb rate in hit-and-run tactics. It became one of the symbols of the aerial battles fought there and remains a popular subject for modelers today.
In 1:144 scale, handle the small parts with extra care and glue them with only a small amount of plastic cement, so it does not seep onto visible surfaces. Apply a thin primer before painting; it sprays well with an airbrush. Highlight the panel lines with a fine wash so the model does not lose readability at this compact scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
