An injection-molded plastic kit of the Australian version of the M113 armored personnel carrier, specifically the M113A1 LRV light reconnaissance vehicle (Light Reconnaissance Vehicle), in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. This boxing holds individual link DIEHL 513B tracks and armament and equipment matching Australian service in the period of the Vietnam War, including the rotating turret with machine gun armament.
The M113 is an American tracked armored personnel carrier of aluminum armor alloy which became one of the most widespread vehicles of its class. Australia introduced the M113 in the 1960s and made a range of special versions of it; the LRV was a light reconnaissance vehicle armed with a turret with a pair of machine guns. Among other places it was deployed during the Vietnam War.
With vehicles, give attention to the running gear and to assembling the individual link DIEHL tracks before the hull is finished. Finish the interior and the detail before the upper part is closed up. For weathering, washes and pigments for mud and dust effects work well and give the vehicle a realistic field look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
