3D-printed SJU-17 ejection seats 1:72 from Art Scale, 2 pieces, recommended for the F-14D model. A detail replacement without the seat belts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Art Scale contains two 3D-printed SJU-17 ejection seats in 1:72 scale, recommended for a model of the F-14D fighter. It is not an airplane kit but a cockpit detail accessory. 3D printing technology makes a very fine rendering of the straps, handles and structure of the seat possible, which is otherwise hard to reach in the small 1:72 scale. The set is supplied without separate seat belts.
The SJU-17 (NACES) is a new-generation American ejection seat used among others in the late versions of the F-14 Tomcat carrier fighter, specifically in the F-14D variant. The two-seat cockpit of the Tomcat calls for two seats, so the set contains a pair.
Separate the 3D-printed parts from the supports carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue. Paint and weather the seats before gluing them into the cockpit; the fine straps stand out when the edges are brought out and a shading wash is used.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
