This is a resin set of accessories, not a stand-alone model of the vehicle. The castings serve to enrich a basic kit and make it look lived in, with realistic equipment, stowage and the crew's personal gear. The set is designed to fit the shape of the matching model in 1:72 scale; the kit of the vehicle itself is not included in the package.
The Sd.Kfz. 184 Elefant was a German heavy tank destroyer of the Second World War. It came about by rebuilding the Ferdinand vehicles built on the Porsche chassis for the Tiger and carried the powerful 88 mm PaK 43 gun in a fixed armored superstructure. It was deployed among other places at Kursk and later on the Italian and the Eastern Fronts.
First wash the parts free of remnants of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. We recommend a base of primer, then acrylic or enamel paints and a finish with washes and pigments for faithful mud and dust effects.
The accessories are supplied as unassembled and unpainted resin castings. The basic model, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
