King Tiger - 3D-Printed Towing Cable Set (Holder with Clean Rod) is a printed set of towing cable holders and a gun cleaning rod for a model of the Tiger II heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set made by 3D printing for models of the German Tiger II heavy tank, known as the King Tiger. It contains the towing cable holders and a gun cleaning rod to go with them, that is, the equipment the vehicle carried on the hull and which in injection-molded plastic comes out as a coarse block. The printed parts have thin sections and legible clamps that can be fitted so that the cable looks genuinely secured. The set is not a model of the tank.
The Tiger II was the heaviest German series-production tank of the Second World War. The vehicles weighed around seventy tons and often became bogged down in the field, so towing cables were among the most important equipment and were always to hand on the hull. Beside them a rod for cleaning the bore of the gun was also carried, because the long 88 mm gun could not do without regular maintenance. The stowage of the equipment differed between production batches.
The printed parts are held on thin supports. Snip them off close to the part and level the face with a scalpel; pliers would snap the thin section. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting. Leave the cleaning rod in a wood shade and tone the metal parts separately, as the contrast of materials is clearly visible on the hull.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
