DSPIAE AT-TZ01 - tweezers with a thin tip

Modeling tweezers in stainless steel with a very thin pointed end. They serve for handling small parts, decals and photo-etched parts, that is, everywhere fingers have no chance and ordinary tweezers with a broad tip would hide the part. The arms have a reinforced profile, so they do not flex sideways when closed and the tips stay in line. The surface is polished, which makes cleaning off glue and paint easier.

What it is suited to

A thin tip is the best choice for decals, small armament parts, antennas and photo-etched parts. It lets you grip a part precisely at the edge and carry it into place without fingerprints. At the same time, pointed tweezers are the most prone to damage: if you pry or cut with them, the tip bends and the tweezers lose their alignment. It is better to keep them for fine work only and to leave coarser jobs to another tool, typically to tweezers with a flat tip.

Use and maintenance

• Use them only for a fine grip, never as a lever.
• Wipe glue residue off at once; dried cyanoacrylate roughens the tip.
• Store the tweezers after work so that nothing presses on the tip.
• Check the closure against the light; the tips should touch along their whole length.
