The Overtrees boxing of the A-20G Havoc kit from Eduard in 1:48 scale: the plastic sprues alone, without decals, photo-etched parts or masks.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas A-20 Havoc was an American twin-engined attack and light bomber aircraft with nosewheel landing gear and a pair of radial engines. The A-20G version differs from the earlier machines in that instead of the glazed navigator's nose it was given a solid nose with onboard armament aimed forward. It was the most numerously built version of the whole type; besides the US Army Air Forces it was also used in large numbers by the Soviet Air Force, where the machines went under the allied deliveries.
Overtrees is a special boxing from Eduard intended for modelers who want to build another example of the same kit. It holds the plastic sprues only. Decals, photo-etched parts and masks are not in the package and are not counted on.
The set comes in useful when you already have decals to spare, when you want to build a machine according to documentation of your own, or when you are planning more extensive alterations and do not want to give up a complete edition for them. It is also a way to a second and a third example for a diorama or for a row of machines of one unit.
The procedure is the same as with an ordinary plastic kit: cut the parts off the sprue a little away from the part, sand the remnants of the gate and glue with glue for polystyrene. Before painting it pays to wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, so that no residues of grease from the mold are left on the surface. Paints, glue, decals and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
