1:72 Lockheed T-33A Shooting Star, WaSLw 10, West German Air Force 1973 is a finished collector's model of the trainer in West German markings.
Responsibility details are not available.
A finished collector's model of the American Lockheed T-33A jet trainer in 1:72 scale from Falcon Models. It shows a machine of the West Luftwaffe weapons school in 1973. The model is cast in metal with additional plastic parts, painted and marked, so it is neither built nor glued. It has engraved panel lines, an opening canopy and extended landing gear. A stand for displaying it in a flying position is included.
The T-33 came about by lengthening the fuselage of the P-80 Shooting Star fighter so that a second cockpit for an instructor would fit into it. What began as an improvisation became one of the most widespread jet trainers in history, serving dozens of countries and lasting in some of them until the 1990s. The West Luftwaffe used it for training and for secondary duties, among them at the weapons school, where pilots prepared for combat types.
The metal casting is heavier than a plastic model, so stand the stand on a firm surface. Wipe the surface with a soft dry cloth; cleaning agents can damage the printed markings. Do not display the model in direct sunlight, as the colors and the lettering will fade. Handle the canopy carefully, as the hinge is the most stressed place on the model.
It is a finished painted model, not a kit. No glue or paints are needed.
