About product

1:32 Mitsubishi A6M Zero - fabric seat belts (HGW)

A set of realistic seat belts for the cockpit of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter in 1:32 scale. The belts are laser cut from a printed microtextile that behaves like real fabric, and etched metal buckles come with them. The maker is the Czech firm HGW Models. This is not a kit but a detail accessory for the seat and the pilot's compartment.

The real subject

The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was a Japanese carrier-based fighter of the Second World War, famed for its long range and its agility. In 1:32 scale the cockpit is clearly visible, so faithful belts in a period form markedly raise the overall impression.

Use and fitting

  • Take the cut fabric part out of the sheet and remove the backing.
  • Work the belts between your fingers for a natural waviness.
  • Thread them through the etched buckles and fix them with cyanoacrylate.
  • The material stands up to ordinary non-aggressive washes and filters.

Who it is for

  • Builders of the A6M Zero in 1:32 scale.
  • Modelers who prefer fabric belts to plastic ones.

This is a cockpit accessory. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
