A sheet of raised rivets from HGW in 1:72 scale. You cut the free rows of rivets to the length you need and apply them wet, as a decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
In 1:72 scale a rivet is so tiny that it can hardly be made evenly by scribing or by embossing from the back. This sheet gets around that problem: the rivets on it form a raised relief carried on a decal film and transfer onto the model as a finished row, with the same spacing along its whole length. Under light they show as a shadow, so the surface of the aircraft stops looking like a smooth plane.
The sheet carries continuous rows with no tie to a particular type of aircraft. You cut off a section exactly as long as you need and decide the layout according to the machine you are building. It therefore serves both for adding riveting where the kit has none and for repairing an area you sanded through while cleaning up a joint, and equally well for conversions and for older molds without surface detail.
Give the surface a gloss coat so that no air is trapped under the film. Soak the cut strip in lukewarm water, let it release from the paper and move it into place. Blot the water off with absorbent paper and do not press the row while you do, so that the relief is not flattened. Apply the setting solution sparingly and clear-coat the surface once it is perfectly dry.
The sheet will be used by modelers who find small scales lacking in surface texture, and by those who repair detail after sanding. The model, paints, clear coat and setting solution are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
