Hataka modeling paint from the Blue Line range in a 10 ml bottle, shade RAF Sky Blue. The light blue tone of the Royal Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
A light blue shade of the Royal Air Force, listed under the name Sky Blue. Do not confuse it with the color Sky: that one is pale toward green-gray, whereas Sky Blue is distinctly blue. Blue undersides were meant to hide a British aircraft against the sky when seen from below, and the lighter tones suited places where the sky was clear and without haze. The shade suits the undersides of the fuselage and wings and the places where the transition to the upper camouflage is to stay inconspicuous.
The bottle holds ten milliliters, an amount that covers the underside of an ordinary aircraft model with a reserve for touching up, while not spoiling on the shelf from waiting. The shade belongs to the Blue Line range, that is to one of the lines this manufacturer runs alongside each other. The ranges differ in composition, so when thinning do not follow a habit from another line of the same maker but the data on the label.
Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before work, the pigment settles at the bottom and unstirred paint will not hold the shade. Apply thin coats and let each one become tacky; light blue tones cover worse than dark ones, so three thin coats pay off rather than one heavy one. A light color also reacts strongly to what is underneath, so lay it over a unified base. Wash the tools right after work.
For builders of British aircraft models. What is supplied is the paint. The model, thinner, varnish and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
