A liquid pigment glaze from the Liquid Pigments range in a pale green shade. A glaze is a thin paint with fine pigment: on a model it runs into the texture of the surface and into the joints and tints them once dry, without hiding the coat beneath it. Pale green is the most cautious of the whole green scale and suits everywhere a green cast is only to be hinted at. The product is thinned with water.
On light surfaces where a saturated green would look like a stain: on plaster, concrete, limestone and sandstone, where algae is only beginning to take hold. On faded green camouflage, to which it returns a hint of color without darkening it. On glass, tarpaulins and light finishes, where a greenish sheen is to show. On a diorama it tints dry grass and the transition between greenery and soil, so that the two surfaces do not stand side by side without a link.
Shake the container before use, the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply with a soft brush in thin coats and let each one dry. With a shade this light it is better to go slowly, coat by coat, because its strength only shows once dry. A wet coat can still be spread or lifted; once dry it can only be built on with a further coat. At the end, seal the surface with a varnish at the chosen level of sheen.
For builders of dioramas, buildings and vehicles who want to dose a green cast in small amounts. The model, brushes, paints and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
