A set of liquid pigment glazes from the Liquid Pigments range in sandy brown shades for dust and dry earth. Thinned with water.
Responsibility details are not available.
Liquid pigments are thin paints with fine pigment that are applied to a model as a glaze instead of as an opaque layer. They run into the texture of the surface, into the joints and around rivets and leave a coloring deposit there once dry. This set keeps sandy brown shades together, that is the colors of dry soil, dust and crushed stone. The product is thinned with water.
Dust does not lie evenly on a model. It settles on horizontal surfaces, in corners, on the underside of the hull, around the running gear, on the steps and everywhere the crew climbs in and out. Sandy brown glazes cover exactly this: a dusty vehicle from a parched landscape, the muddy underside of a truck, a dirt road on a diorama, battered crates and wooden walls. They also serve well on an aircraft that stood on a field airfield.
Shake the container before use. Apply in thin coats, start where the dust is to be heaviest and blend the coat out from those places with a damp brush. Dust never ends in a hard edge. While the glaze is wet the excess can be lifted with a cloth; once dry, add a further coat if you want to go higher. Finally, unify the work with a matte varnish, which suits a dusty surface best.
For builders of military vehicles, dioramas and civilian vehicles. The model, brushes, paints and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
