A premium multimedia set of period Formula 1 pit accessories of the 1980s in 1:20 scale from the Japanese maker Model Factory Hiro. It is not a model of a car but a set of scenic details for building a pit scene or a diorama. The parts are cast in white metal, with photo-etch added, and they call for cleaning up and gluing.
The set takes in the typical equipment of a 1980s pit box, for example starter batteries, pressure gauges, hand tools, a pneumatic impact wrench, stands and other small accessories. The exact contents differ between individual sets; follow the instructions in the package.
Before gluing, degrease the white metal and clean up the casting seams; glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use a primer on the metal surface and only then the paint. Washes and gentle wear will give the tools and the equipment a realistic, used look.
