This is a detail accessory set, not a model of a car. In it Model Factory Hiro offers faithful racing seat belts in 1:20 scale with blue straps for collector-grade Formula 1 models. The set combines photo-etched metal parts (buckles and adjusters), fabric straps and decals with the logos of racing belt makers, so the result looks more realistic than the molded belts from the base kit.
It replaces or completes the seat belts in the cockpit of the single-seater being built. Metal buckles and fabric straps give the seat and the pilot's compartment detail that is correct in scale and tangible, and that is clearly visible in the open cockpit of a Formula 1 car.
Carefully separate the photo-etched parts from the fret and clean them up. Thread the fabric straps through the buckles following the pattern of a real five-point harness. Super glue works well for joining the metal parts. Before gluing it is worth degreasing the parts and lightly roughening any metal faces so that the paint adheres better.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
