This is a detail accessory set, not a model of a car. In it Model Factory Hiro offers faithful racing seat belts in 1:20 scale with black webbing for collector's Formula 1 models. The set combines photo-etched metal parts (buckles and adjusters), fabric webbing and decals with the logos of makers of racing belts, so that the result looks more realistic than the molded belts from a base kit.
It replaces or completes the seat belts in the cockpit of the single-seater model being built. The metal buckles and the fabric webbing give the seat and the pilot's space a correctly scaled, tangible detail that is clearly visible in the open cockpit of a Formula car.
Carefully separate the photo-etched parts from the fret and clean them up. Thread the fabric webbing through the buckles following the pattern of a real five-point harness. Cyanoacrylate glue works well for joining the metal parts. Before gluing it is worth degreasing the parts and lightly roughening any metal faces for better paint adhesion.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
