A collector's model of the Maserati MC12 in 1:64 scale, captured in the rendering from the tests at the Fiorano circuit in 2004.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Maserati MC12 is a GT-category racing car that the marque built in 2004 for the FIA GT championship. It came about on the technical basis of the Ferrari Enzo, but it was given a body entirely of its own: extraordinarily long, with a stretched tail and a large rear wing that holds its nose down even in fast corners. The center section of the roof is removable. For the car to be able to enter racing, a small road-going series also had to be made, so the MC12 belongs among those machines you could meet on the circuit and on the road alike. A length of over five meters makes it one of the longest cars of its class, and in the model you can tell.
The rendering matches the tests at the Fiorano circuit in 2004, that is the period when the car was still being tuned and was going out on the track for the first time. The 1:64 scale is the most widespread one among car collectors, and a car of such a length comes out at roughly eight centimeters in it.
Collector's models in this scale are supplied finished and painted; they are not meant to be built or painted. They keep best in a closed display case, where dust does not settle on them and direct sunlight does not fall on them, which harms the paint and the printing alike. Sweep the dust off with a soft brush; solvents do not belong on the surface. It pays to keep the original packaging, which comes in handy when moving and for any claim.
For collectors of racing cars and for lovers of Italian marques who build a collection in a single scale. A display case and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
