A resin conversion set from the Czech brand Mark I Models in 1:144 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter kit in the F-104G and F-104J versions, which adds AIM-9 Sidewinder guided air-to-air missiles carried under the fuselage to the machine. This is a different armament configuration from the sister set, where the Sidewinders sit on the wingtips; choose according to the machine and the configuration you want to build. The set is intended for F-104 kits in 1:144 scale from Mark I Models and Revell.
The F-104J was the fighter version of the Starfighter built for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, and the F-104G the most widespread multirole variant operated by many air forces of the Cold War. The Starfighter was a supersonic machine with a long slender fuselage and short thin wings. Placing the Sidewinder missiles under the fuselage is one of the armament fits of this type.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without the base model. The base F-104 kit in 1:144 is not included in the package.
