Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Canadian de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter utility aircraft in 1:144 scale from the Czech manufacturer Mark I Models. It is a new mold and the package offers three landing gear options at once — conventional wheels, skis for operation on snow and ice and floats for water — so you can build the land, the polar or the floatplane version.
The Twin Otter is a twin-engine turboprop high-wing aircraft with short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability, powered by reliable Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engines. Since the 1960s it has served all over the world with civil operators and armed forces alike — on regional routes, in remote areas, in the mountains, in the Arctic and in the Antarctic. Thanks to its fixed landing gear and its ability to work from short unpaved strips it became an icon of bush flying.
Glue the small parts in this scale with thin modeling cement for plastic and the clear parts with liquid canopy adhesive. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush works well on the plain surfaces of the fuselage and the wings. Decide on the type of landing gear and the length of the nose according to the machine you want to depict.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
