An injection-molded plastic kit of the BAC 1-11-500 airliner in 1:144 scale by Mark I Models. The package holds 51 parts, clear instructions and a decal sheet for three color schemes. A section of airfield apron can also be cut out of the box and used as a base under the finished model.
The BAC One-Eleven was a British twin-engine jet airliner with the engines mounted on the sides of the rear fuselage. The stretched 500 version offered greater passenger capacity and served with a number of European and overseas carriers from the 1970s onwards.
On the smooth surfaces of the fuselage it pays to fill and sand the joints carefully, to lay a gloss base under the decals and to use a matte or semi-gloss final varnish depending on the scheme you choose. The surfaces of the engine nacelles can be brought out with a metallic shade, applied at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
