1:48 Henschel Hs-129 B-2 and B-3 - EXPERT Kabuki Masks (for Takom 48001 and 48002 Kits)

Masks for the Hs 129 B-2 and B-3, extended version, 1:48

A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks in Japanese kabuki paper for a model of the German Hs 129 attack aircraft in the B-2 and B-3 versions, in 1:48 scale. The extended version means that the set goes beyond the usual masking of the canopy and covers other areas as well. It is not a model but an aid for painting. The masks are cut to the shape of particular kits, and the manufacturer states the match on the packaging.

What it is for

• Masking the frames and the glazed area of the canopy.
• Covering wheels, tires and other small areas.
• Extended masking beyond the scope of the basic set.
• Sharp edges without cutting masks out of tape by hand.

Work tips

Lift the masks off with tweezers and apply them with dry hands. Once a mask is on, press the edge down with a blunt tool so that no paint runs underneath. Spray the paint in thin coats at a right angle to the edge. Take the masks off as soon as the paint has set, and pull them back at an angle onto themselves. On the Hs 129 the cockpit is narrow and heavily armored, so the glazing is small and every imprecisely sprayed frame shows all the more.

Who the set is for

• Builders of German attack aircraft in 1:48 scale.
• Modelers who want to mask outside the cockpit as well.
• Anyone who does not want to cut masks by hand.

The set contains masks only. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
